TWO boys have been charged with murdering a man by kicking and stamping on his head and body.
The two - both aged 16 - appeared in Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday and made no plea or declaration during their brief appearance in chambers represented by defence lawyers Paul Lynch and John McElroy.
It is alleged that the teenage duo, who can’t be identified because of a court order, assaulted Nachhatar Singh Bola, 36, in Renfrew’s Thomson Street near its junction with Porterfied Road, on July 2, by repeatedly kicking and stamping on his head and body whereby he was so severely injured that he died at Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital five weeks later.
The Gazette told last week how the dad-of-two had been visiting Renfrew from India and had been due to return home to his wife and two children this month.
Sheriff Colin Pettigrew continued the case against them for further examination.
