Inquiry into death of tot
TRAGEDY: Baby Declan's death will be investigated
MONSTER MUM: Hainey murdered her son
THE tragic death of a tot - whose body was left to mummify in a flat for eight months - will be investigated.
A Fatal Accident Inquiry (FAI) is to be held into the death of little Declan Hainey, who was just eight-months-old.
His decomposed and mummified body was discovered in his cot on 30 March 2010.
The cause of death remains unknown.
Kimberley Hainey, 37, from Johnstone, was convicted of killing Declan at their home and hiding his body.
She was jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 15 years in jail following a six-week trial in December.
She was also found guilty of neglect, failing to report his death and of attempting to pervert the course of justice by concealing his body at the flat.
The court had heard that cruel Hainey would often leave Declan alone without food or water while she was out taking drugs and conducting relationships with men.
His decomposed and mummified body was discovered in his cot on 30 March 2010.
