MORE than 1,000 people took over Inchinnan last week in a poignant tribute at a piper's funeral. The body of Lochlann McKay, 21, was discovered near the David Lloyd Centre in Renfrew on Sunday, June 2 just hours after he had been out celebrating with friends.
Around 200 musicians performed for the Park Mains High pupil as his coffin was carried into Inchinnan Parish Church.
Friend Scott Wood said: "What a fitting service for Lochlann McKay today. Can't believe the turnout. He deserved it all, and he'll surely never be forgotten."
