Colin Pollock, a member of the Wednesday Evening Slimming World group in Houston, was determined to lose some weight and decided to ask friends and family to help support him on his journey.

“I’m so proud of the support that the members in the group have given me during this time,” Erskine man Colin said.

“Although I still have more weight to lose I feel healthier and much more energetic, and it gives me an added boost to know that I am not the only one to benefit from my weight loss.

“Supporting a worthwhile cause like St Vincent’s Hospice has given me a special focus and real commitment to my weight loss goal.

“Taking part in a sponsored weight loss has been a great opportunity to put something back into the local community, and has made a real difference to my weight and health at the same time.

“I am delighted to have been able to help St Vincent’s Hospice and I hope that my donation will make a difference.” St Vincent’s Hospice is a charitable organisation at the heart of the community, offering specialised care and services to all those affected by life-limiting illness. Every day the hospice is providing vital care for real families in the communities where we live. However, without their supporters, their services would simply cease to exist.
