Renfrewshire Leisure lifted the Organisation of the Year for First Aid Excellence title in the Scottish First Aid Awards – and it was the first time they had been nominated.
The organisation that runs sports and leisure services locally were up against companies from all over Scotland for the award and Renfrewshire Leisure’s training officer Audrey Doig, has been singled out for praise due to her work with staff.
Councillor Jim Harte, Renfrewshire Leisure board chairman said: “We have a highly-trained staff at all our centres who deserve congratulations for their hard work and determination in winning this prestigious award.
“Audrey Doig, our Training Officer deserves special mention along with praise for our frontline managers and staff who keep our customers safe and comfortable when they visit any of our facilities.
“This award goes to show how highly-trained and skilled our staff are and they are ready to react to any circumstances.”
