The female, believed to be in her late 30s, allegedly stripped off the top part of her clothing at Barshaw Park during the heatwave yesterday (Wednesday).

One stunned onlooker said: “At Barshaw today and I couldn’t believe my eyes when a middle age woman stripped half naked. Topless on the hill.” Local residents took to social media site Facebook to express their opinions on the subject, with many describing it as ‘shocking.’ While some said they felt it was ‘indecent exposure,’ others said it was harmless and should be embraced.

Laurelle Harvey commented on Facebook: “It’s only boobs, happens at the beach all the time. Nothing to worry about.

“I know not every child is breastfed but it shouldnt be something folk are ashamed of surely.

“Live and let live. Certainly not indecent. Kids see and hear a lot worse in parks.” However Kayleigh Mahone Shaw responded: “It’s only boobs? No it’s indecent exposure around children.

“It very rarely happens at a beach and even that is classed as indecent exposure. I sure wouldn’t want my children seeing that.” At the weekend, thousands of Renfrewshire residents descended on the park during the ever-popular Barshaw Gala Day.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said there were no reports of the incident but added it would be classed as an 'indecency.' Are you the topless lady? If so, please get in touch to share your story on 0141 435 8856.
