These youngsters at Arkleston Primary School were encouraged to pipe up ahead of this year’s Piping Live! and The World Pipe Band Championships, taking place in Glasgow from August 10-16.
Members of the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland visited the Renfrew school to give the children piping and chanter lessons in the lead up to this year’s week-long festival of celebrations.
Each year, the world’s biggest week of piping brings in excess of 50,000 visitors to the city and will see over 8,000 musicians perform at over 200 events throughout the city.
Tickets for both events are on sale now and available by calling 08444 77 1000 or by logging onto www.peoplemakeglasgow.com/piping
