The tear-jerking events took place in Paisley, Renfrew, Johnstone, Elderslie, Erskine, Bridge of Weir, Houston, Howwood, Kilbarchan and Lochwinnoch.
Members of the Royal British Legion and the armed forces joined politicians and representatives of a wide range of organisations and community groups at the services.
Renfrewshire’s Depute Provost John Caldwell laid a wreath on behalf of the council at the Johnstone event.
“The annual Remembrance commemoration is one of the most special events of the year in communities across Renfrewshire,” he said. “It is a time for reflection and for pride in the service given, sometimes at great personal cost, of generations of armed forces personnel and a demonstration of support for their continuing service.” Pictures in tomorrow's Gazette.
