Scotland will be hit with snow this weekend due to US weather system Storm Stella.
Blizzard conditons are expected this weekend as the Met Office forecasted fresh snow and windy conditions.
Snow could fall over higher ground in the Highlands and Islands across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Met Office said: "A strong jet stream is helping drive this unsettled weather our way. This is due in part to a big temperature contrast between areas of warm air and cold air in the United States at the moment."
"We could see some snow over high ground in Scotland."
A series of storms formed by weather systems have hit Scotland within the last few months.
