CELTIC midfielder Nir Bitton spectacularly shut down a troll who slammed him for congratulating Israel for winning the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Israeli footballer shared a picture on his Instagram Story of fellow Israeli Eurovision winner Netta Barzilai in which he congratulated her for taking the top spot on Saturday night.

A follower replied back to Bitton, “F*** you,” followed by, “Out our club!”

The Gazette:

Bitton, 26, shared the exchange, mockingly telling his 73,000 followers, “This boy need some love.”

He also replied back to the troll, “Haha shut the f*** up...I’ll be here till my last second of my contract.”

The Gazette:

Celtic fans were quick to jump to Bitton’s aid.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “This guy is giving Nir Bitton grief on Instagram because he was supporting the Israeli winner of Euros***vision. He’s our player. Don’t abuse him. Simple.”

Another said: “Well played, son! Fans abusing him for his nationality need to have a word, p*****!”
