A man is due to appear in court today accused of murdering Darryl Fitch in Bridge of Weir.
Police Scotland has been probing the death of the 43-year-old since his body was found on Monday, July 13, 2015.
Repeated appeals were issued in the preceding months as detectives tried to piece together the circumstances which led to his death.
They have now arrested a 37-year-old who is due to face charges later today.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Following our previous appeals in relation to the murder of 43 year old Darryl Fitch in Bridge of Weir on Monday 13 July 2015, a 37 year old man has been arrested and charged with the death and will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday, March 9."
