POLICE are appealing for information to help trace a man who was last seen boarding a bus from Glasgow Airport.

George Brown, 60, from Bridge of Weir was reported missing to police on December 1.

He has not been seen since Wednesday 23 November when he boarded a bus from Glasgow Airport to Glasgow city centre.

Mr Brown is described as white, 6ft, medium build, brown eyes and was balding with grey hair at the sides. He is usually clean shaven.

When last seen he was wearing a black zipper top, a red, black and white horizontal striped polo shirt, dark green cargo style trousers and black suede slip on shoes.

He is believed to have used public transport to travel to the Glasgow, Greenock, and Fife areas.

Recent enquiries have indicated that he may well have travelled to the Edinburgh area on Friday 2 December.

Sergeant James Kyle at Johnstone Police Station said: “Mr Brown’s family are becoming increasing concerned for his wellbeing and I urge anyone who has seen him in recent weeks or has any knowledge of his current whereabouts to contact Johnstone Police Office via 101.

“I also appeal to George directly to contact either his family or Police to let them know he is safe and well.”
