A BRIDGE of Weir business is enjoying a taste of Hollywood glamour after being asked to take care of laundry and costumes for some of the world’s biggest movie stars.

The team behind the new Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War turned to Harrods Dry Cleaners while celebrities such as Chris Hemsworth (pictured above), Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson and Benedict Cumberbatch shoot scenes in Scotland.

Adil Zafar and his team have been asked to make sure movie costumes, as well as as the stars’ expensive personal garments, are looking their best.

“I am very proud that I have been selected to dry clean clothes for the whole cast,” said Adil.

“As well as personal garments, I have also been asked to clean items from the costume department.

“We’re specialist cleaners and many companies don’t offer the same services, so the production company sought us out.”

Filming for the latest Avengers flick has been taking place in Edinburgh, the Highlands and Wardpark Studios, in Cumbernauld.

Adil said: “Most of the items I’ve been asked to clean so far are the star’s personal garments.

“I’ll be taking in the costumes worn by the stars in the film very soon but I can’t give many details about those until filming has ended.”

The Gazette previously told how production crews behind Hindi romantic drama TumBin2 turned to Harrods Dry Cleaners while filming scenes in Renfrewshire.
