A CARE home for people with learning disabilities has been graded as “very good” after checks by the Care Inspectorate.
The Elderslie Project, in Cherrywood Road, was assessed for its quality of care and support, as well as management and leadership.
In their report, inspectors praised the “good staff presence” and found that residents were experiencing “very good outcomes.”
They added: “Service users living in the home did not have capacity to make decisions about their lives due to the effects of their learning disabilities. This meant that staff would discuss matters of care and support through a service user’s representative, such as a family member or a social work representative.
“We could see that this was done very well through day-to-day contacts, surveys and regular review meetings.
“During our visits, we observed good staff presence and interactions with service users.
“We found that service users were experiencing very good outcomes. People had regular access to meaningful activity, both inside and outside of the home.”
