FUNDRAISERS have called on Renfrewshire’s business community to fling its support behind the St Vincent’s Hospice pearl anniversary celebrations next year.

The Howwood hospice turns 30 years old in 2018, and to celebrate three decades of providing care to those with life-limiting illnesses, a special ceilidh will be held at the Hilton Glasgow on Friday, February 2.

Hospice bosses are offering limited chances for businesses, groups and individuals from throughout Renfrewshire to become high-profile “Pearl Sponsors” – helping deliver care and support for people and families associated with the hospice.

Chief executive Kate Lennon told the Gazette: “For close to 30 years our team of specialist, dedicated staff have been delivering palliative and end of life care as well as supporting families and loved ones during some of the most difficult times of their lives.

“What we have accomplished during this time has been incredible, but it has only been possible thanks to the continued generosity of countless sponsors and donors, who have given up their time, money and effort for our services.

“2018 is going to be a celebration of all of how far we have come, the lives we have touched as well as a look to the future, and we want you to be a part of that by becoming one of our Pearl Sponsors.”

Pearl Sponsors will receive a table at the ceilidh ball, and will be presented with a limited edition, collectable gift.

They will also be featured in the programme for the evening, and across a variety of promotional and digital channels throughout the year.

Ms Lennon added: “Our fundraising team will work with your business or group to maximise the benefit of your participation and help raise your profile across Renfrewshire as a supporter of St. Vincent’s Hospice and a vital partner in helping us treat more patients than ever before.”
