Fans of all things crafty enjoyed a colourful day out at Bishopton Art Group’s annual fair.

Hundreds of creative types went along to the spring arts and craft event at the village’s community centre.

Amateur artists offered a variety of products which people could pick up for themselves or as gifts for others.

Visitors also voted for their favourite painting, with the chance to win a gift voucher as a reward.

And the artwork with the most votes was Josh, painted by Jean Kerr.

Hot drinks and some tasty home baking kept guests fuelled throughout the day.

Ronnie Dukes, of Bishopton Art Group, is delighted with the success of the event.

He said: “We had an excellent day and all those who attended enjoyed themselves.

“The fair has been running for several years now but it was good to see so many new faces coming along this time.

“It is a very popular event in the area and members of the group are busy during the winter to create their work.

“Thanks go to everyone who came along on the day. We are very grateful for the support we receive from the community.”

The group’s next event will be a month-long exhibition at The Bridge community hub, in Bridge of Weir, from Tuesday, May 1, to Friday, June 1.

Various works of art will be on show during the hub’s normal opening hours and admission will be free.
