THERE was hysteria in Houston yesterday as a host of celebrities descended on the village.
Pupils from Houston and St Filan's Primary School got a huge surprise when celebs including Fearne Cotton, David Walliams and Davina McCall, used the village as a pit-stop during their 1,000 mile Sport Relief cycle challenge.
The tour bus arrived in the school car park shortly before comedian, Miranda Hart, finished off her stint on the bike and swapped with Fearne Cotton.
David Walliams stopped by the dinner hall and joined some of the pupils for a school lunch as Davina McCall and Russell Howard signed autographs for the hundreds of screaming children outside.
Houston Primary head Myra Hamilton said it was the best kept secret with only a few people knowing. She added: "It was a real special day for the children, I don't think we will forget it in a hurry." The school handed over a cheque for £1,000 which will help towards their goal of raising £1million.
