A hooded raider pounced just as staff were closing their tills at Hasan Stores in Broomlea Crescent, Inchinnan.

It's understood the crook was seen hanging around the front of the store just before the incident which occurred at 7.05pm on Tuesday, October 21.

The suspect is described as male, aged 16-18, medium build, 5' 6" - 5' 8" in height.

He was wearing a black, leather type, waist length jacket, dark coloured hoodie, blue denims, white trainers and a scarf covering his face.

When last seen, he ran off towards Luckinsford Road and Old Greenock Road.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "We'll be stepping up local patrols and visits to shops and similar premises in the surrounding area to help keep people safe."
