Gayle Chestnut McElhinney, 35, is currently being treated at St Vincent’s Hospice but wishes to spend a few days in her family home in Houston.
Her loved ones hope to raise as much money as possible to buy a stair lift and hospital arm chair so she can spend time with her family as she nears the end of her own cancer battle.
The appeal has been launched through Kane’s Wishlist, a page set up by Gayle when her son Kane battled the very same illness.
Brave Gayle, who refused cancer treatment to look after her terminally ill son until he tragically passed away, aged 12, is determined to raise as much awareness as possible.
