Two brave reporters got stripped for action when they had their legs WAXED to raise cash for earthquake victims. Daredevil scribes Robert Moore, 25, and Andrew Gibson, 27 - staff journalists with the Clyde Weekle Press series - showed they were real men when they decided to have their hairy legs shorn of their fur. The fundraising fun was to raise money for Mary's Meals Haiti Earthquake Appeal. Now running for more than two years, the appeal helps rebuild shattered lives on the Carribbean island which was struck by a massive tremor in January 2010. The lads whelped and yelped at Whispering Willows beauty salon in Dumbarton as beautician Alisha Johnson struggled to keep a straight face.

KIDS from Woodlands Primary have been working the Linwood Moss nature park. Guided by park rangers, the keen primary one naturalists weren't scared to get their hands dirty as they rooted out bugs and beasties from their habitat in the undergrowth. They also had a good look at the vegetation that grows in the marshy land of the Moss. And their new-found knowledge will come in handy this summer when they perform in a special summer concert about the wildlife that lives in and around Linwood.
