Few clubs in Britain were as busy at St Mirren during the January transfer window with 10 players leaving and 10 joining up at Saints.
Here we take a look at manager Jack Ross’s January moves.
In
Harry Davis – The centre back was a deadline day signing and joins the Buddies on a loan deal from Crewe Alexandria, where he captained the club and made over 200 appearances. Scored on his debut in the 2-2 draw at Dumbarton.
Adam Eckersley – The 31-year-old left back came through the youth ranks at Manchester United and had been playing his trade out in Canada for Edmonton. Another to debut against the Sons.
Rory Loy – Out of favour Dundee striker will be looking to return to form and help the Buddies secure their Championship status.
Craig Storie – The central midfielder joined on loan from Aberdeen in search of regular game time.
Stephen McGinn – A former fans’ favourite, McGinn returns to Paisley from Wycombe seven years after he left for Watford. Named club captain last week.
Cammy Smith – The attacking midfielder joined on loan from Aberdeen after an unsuccessful loan spell at Dundee United. Has been impressive in his early outings in a St Mirren jersey.
Stelios Demetriou – London born Cypriot left-back joined Jack Ross’s side after leaving Doxa Katokopias.
Josh Todd – The former Carlisle man makes the steps up to full-time football after spells with Dumbarton and Annan. Contracted until the end of the season with the club having the option of a further year.
Billy O’Brien – Man City goalkeeper, who has been part of Pep Guardiola’s Champions League squad, joined until the end of the season on loan.
Pål Fjelde – The Norwegian joins on a permanent deal after playing for Bryne in Norway’s second tier.
Out
Kyle McAllister – The Buddies' most notable exit, the 18-year-old winger moved to Derby County for an initial fee of around £225,000.
Jason Naismith – The right back suffered a serious knee injury last season and makes the switch to Ross County having made over 100 appearances for Saints. Made his first start for the Dingwall club in their 1-1 draw against Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday.
Tom Walsh – Returned to Rangers at the end of his loan spell and was subsequently released by Mark Warburton – currently a free agent.
Ryan Hardie – Another not to have his loan extended with Buddies and will spend the second half of the season at Raith Rovers.
Lawrence Shankland – The Dons striker quickly crossed the Renfrewshire divide, signing on loan for Morton until the end of the season.
Kalvin Orsi – The youngster has found first team football hard to come by this season and joins Queen’s Park on loan until the end of the season.
Jordan Stewart – Another to leave in search of first team football, signing with League Two side Annan Athletic also until the end of the season.
Kyle Hutton – Joined Airdrieonians on an emergency loan that has now been extended until the end of the season.
Calum Gallagher – The former Rangers wide man struggled to retain a starting place and has moved to Dumbarton on a permanent deal.
Scott Gallacher – The signing of O’Brien paved the way for Gallacher to head for the exit, he signed for Championship leaders Hibs until the end of the season.
