CELTIC look to be winning the race to sign young St Mirren midfielder Lewis Morgan.
The Scotland Under-21 star, who has scored 10 goals this season for the Buddies, has caught the eye of a number of high-profile sides ahead of next month's transfer window.
But The Gazette understands it's the Hoops who are closest to getting their hands on the 21-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Nottingham Forest.
However, with his contact not running out until the end of the season, Saints will be hoping to strike a deal which would see Morgan loaned back to them until the end of the campaign.
Morgan started his youth career with Celtic's Old Firm rivals Rangers before moving to the Paisley 2021 Stadium.
