Johnstone Burgh FC are celebrating a double boost after BAM Construction signed a new strip deal with the under-19 team as they prepare for the final of the Paisley and Johnstone Youth Football League Cup.

The team beat Gleniffer Thistle 4 -1 on Saturday in a hotly contested semi-final and will now meet Bonnyton Thistle in the final which will take place on Saturday, June 1.

BAM Construction, which is known locally for the delivery of the Johnstone Sports Hub and has just started on site for the £14.5m new Johnstone Town Hall which it is building in the town centre, has agreed to sponsor the under-19 team for a second season.

Doug Keillor, Regional Director, BAM Construction, said: “We believe in supporting the communities we work in and we were delighted to be given the chance to continue our sponsorship of our local under-19 team for another season.

“Reaching the final is an impressive achievement for the club and coaches. Fingers crossed their winning streak continues.” Situated in Ludovic Square, work has started on Johnstone Town Hall which will bring a range of community services into one location including the library, theatre, marriage suite, café, Renfrewshire Council’s Housing and Social Work Departments and AdviceWorks, Strathclyde Police and MacMillan Cancer Support.

The building will open to the public in the summer of 2015.
