Nationwide contractor Avonside Roofing Ltd, who recently set up a new Scottish branch in Linwood, have offered the club a substantial sum to sponsor sets of strips for three of the club’s sides.
The first set has already been allocated to the club’s 2007/08s, who are due to start participating again in the new season which gets under way in March. The side will compete in the Paisley and Johnstone District Youth Football League, and will don the yellow and blue, emblazoned with the clubs new sponsor.
Alan Hilditch, Avonside Group, said: “Avonside having chosen to base its new Scottish operation in Renfrewshire are delighted to sponsor one of the areas biggest and most proactive youth football clubs and wish Glentyan Thistle FC continuing success in its efforts to provide a well run,well coached and safe environment for young players to thrive in” Local sportswear supplier Only Sport, who supply all of Glentyan Thistle’s Hummel game and training gear, obtained a new kit for the club. While the side are also set to feature in the new Hummel catalogue which will be issued in the spring, and distributed throughout Europe.
