The club committee have started an eight week fundraising project, which encourages people to pledge money to support the club in return for rewards.

The website was launched on Saturday, February 28 in a bid to raise £1800, with complimentary tickets to the club’s end of season dinner and signed jerseys all up for grabs.

Funding will be put towards the running costs of the club as aims to continue in its presence at the heart of the Inchinnan community. With the cost of pitches and facilities on the rise across the country, the club have been hit hard by recent price hikes.

David Thomson, who is on the club’s committee as well as a member of the playing staff, stressed the importance of raising club funds.

He told Gazette Sport: “The club are specifically trying to purchase new training equipment, new training and playing kit for the 2015/16 season and new matchday equipment.

“As it stands it currently costs the club approximately £600 per month just to function. That includes training fees, referee fees, football park hire and league fees.

“We constantly rely on community fundraising events to survive.

“If we don’t make our £1800 target then we could be in a difficult situation.” The club ply their trade in the Strathclyde Saturday Morning Amateur Football League Premier Division, sitting in eighth position and six points clear of the relegation places.

Playing and training at Park Mains High School’s all-weather pitch in Erskine, the club are always on the lookout for new players.

Thomson added: “We’re always open to players coming along for trials if they were interested in joining the club. We can be easily contacted through our Facebook or Twitter page — facebook.com/ICCFootballClub or @ICCFootballClub.” If you would like to help inject the club with some much needed funds, visit www.crowdfunder.co.uk/ICCFC, where you will find the pledge sheet.
