JOHNSTONE Burgh were left disappointed by the weather on Saturday as their game with Rossvale at Keanie Park was postponed.
It denied co-manager Colin Smith and Davie Brolly’s side the chance to bounce back from their 2-1 home defeat to Wishaw the previous week.
The Keanie Park side are still in a comfortable mid-table position in the Central District First Division with an outside chance of threatening the promotion places.
Even if their promotion hopes prove to be fruitless, a comfortable finish in mid-table would go down as a success for Burgh this season after securing promotion last term.
They will have to travel well in the coming weeks to maintain the pressure on the teams at the top.
Burgh face three away games in a row starting with a trip to St Anthony’s on Saturday, kick-off 2pm.
A midweek tie with Maryhill follows on Wednesday before a trip to basement-battlers Dunipace.
Burgh will be favourites for the clash with St Anthony’s, with their hosts struggling third from bottom of the league having played more games than most in the division.
