RENFREW FC will kick off their season with a trip to Greenock Juniors in the Sectional League Cup after the draw was made last week.

The competitive action for the Frew starts on Saturday, August 6. That will be followed by clashes with Vale of Leven and Port Glasgow at New Western Park and a trip to local rivals Johnstone Burgh will complete the group.

Co-managers Colin Clark and Martin Ferry have a busy schedule of friendlies before then to get their squad in shape for the campaign.

The team have seven friendlies in 14 days, all at home bar the final fixture at Troon on July 30, starting with a clash against St Mirren under 20s at New Western Park on Saturday, July 16, at 11am.

The friendly fixtures are as follows: West Park under-21s, July 18, 7pm; Beith, July 20, 7pm; Hurlford, July 23, 7pm; Tower Hearts 21s, July 25, 7pm; Rossvale, July 27, 7pm; Troon (A), July 30, 2pm.
