The veterans' charity Erskine is launching a last minute appeal to female runners to pound the streets and raise funds for the country's war heroes.

There are just a few days left to sign up to the Ignis Asset Management Women's 10k taking place at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow.

Around 12,000 women from across Scotland join this event annually and you could be there in support of the country's veterans for this year's race on Sunday May 13.

Erskine will support your fundraising efforts every step of the way when you sign up to join Team Erskine. You will be provided with an Erskine t-shirt and information pack with all the details our runners need to take part.

Alan Moss, Erskine Fundraiser, said: "This is your last chance to have a great day out, keep fit and importantly help care for Scottish veterans. Time is running out for you to join this year's race, so please give us a call today and help us to raise vital funds for the ex-Service men and women in our care."

Erskine has five care homes across Scotland, including The Erskine Home, Bishopton, and the Erskine Glasgow Home in Anniesland.

For a free running pack, please call 0141 814 4555 or email team@erskine.org.uk.
