FOODIES will be able to get stuck into tasty treats this weekend as the Paisley Food and Drink Festival gets underway.
On Friday and Saturday, the best of Scotland’s producers will showcase their wares to visitors in Paisley’s Abbey Close.
Guests can experience tasting sessions with Gin 71 and relax at The Rum Shack bar while enjoying some live music on Friday.
And delicious dishes will be on offer on Saturday from the likes of Three Sisters Bake, the ever popular farmers’ market and a mix of street food vendors such as Babu Kitchen and Pitt Street Food Market.
Smaller portion sizes will be available for children and a range of halal, gluten free, veggie and vegan options will be on offer.
Cooking demonstrations will also take place, courtesy of celebrity chef Jamie Scott, who won Masterchef the Professionals in 2014, to allow visitors to learn the best tricks of the trade, and children will get the chance to have some hands-on experience.
The children’s workshops are free but numbers are limited.
Children’s entertainer Mr Bloom will also be about, sharing his unique bundle of veggie stories, gardening games and nursery songs for toddlers and parents alike.
The event will run alongside Paisley’s Real Ale Festival which starts today and runs until Saturday.
