THE seventh anniversary of the Erskine Motorbike Meet will take place this Sunday (May 26). In aid of Erskine, the charity for veterans, the event is organised by volunteers and gives bikers the opportunity to come along to Erskine's grounds in Bishopton and enjoy a day of BBQ, live music, family entertainment of stalls, bouncy castles, fairground rides and more.

Last year 1,000 motorbikes attended as well as 2,000 members of the public - raising an incredible �9,000 for the charity.

Non-bikers are also welcome, with a free shuttle bus being provided to take them into Erskine's grounds. The day kicks off at 1pm with a parade and finishes at 5pm. A donation of �5 per bike is required.

A motorbike parade will also leaving Park Mains High School, Erskine, at 12.40pm. Taking a tour of the town of Erskine, it is scheduled to arrive at Erskine's grounds for 1pm or thereabouts. Most of the bikers are armed forces related and have armed forces flags flying on the back of their bikes.
