Children from P4-7 entertained the school with poems and raps they had written as well as holding a thought-provoking assembly around the anti-bullying theme.
Organised by the school’s pupil council, they also wore the colour blue on the day to show they were united to ‘stamp it out.’ On the same afternoon, they held a ‘send my friend to school dress down day,’ raising more than £165 which will be sent to their sponsored child, Roja, in India to help her school with resources.
Mrs Carol Brown, deputy head, said: “Our pupil council led a wonderful Anti-Bullying Focus Day on November 21.
“We had an interesting assembly where we looked at bullying and celebrating difference. P4-7 wrote amazing songs, poems and raps all about stopping bullying.
“Our new logo is going to be ‘Stamp it Out’ which was created by P4. All classes looked at the issue through different activities and we had a fun anti bullying afternoon where we watched movies on the theme. Thanks to our pupil council and to all the boys and girls for taking part.”
