She was struck by a black BMW saloon as she crossed New Sneddon Street on Tuesday.
A First Response ambulance raced to the scene and a medic tended to the woman.
The collision took place at the traffic lights at the corner of New Sneddon Street and Old Sneddon Street.
The area is busy with traffic throughout the day as it is just yards away from Paisley Gilmour Street train station, which runs directly to Glasgow Central.
An eye witness, who asked not to be named, said: "I heard a huge bang and turned round.
"The woman hit the road and another woman screamed at the sight of what had happened."
Police said the female's injuries were 'minor' and that no-one has been charged in connection with the incident.
She was taken by ambulance to Paisley's Royal Alexandra hospital for further treatment.
