A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a road crash in the centre of Paisley.
The smash, involving two cars, has closed Lonend Street in one direction.
Police say a woman has been taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital as a precaution, and there are no serious injuries.
Motorists travelling out of the town centre are being redirected following the accident, which happened at around 3.20pm.
Police and Scottish Fire and Rescue are on the scene.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Officers received reports of a two car collision on Lonend Street in Paisley at around 3.20pm.
"One woman has been taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital by ambulance as a precautionary measure."
It is believed that the road will re-open later this afternoon.
