COMMUTERS faced travel chaos this morning after an accident on the A737 at Lochwinnoch.
Traffic was brought to a stand-still following the two-car crash, restricting traffic travelling between the road-head roundabout at Lochwinnoch towards Howwood.
One man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley with "no life threatening injuries" according to police.
The incident took place just before 8am on Friday, August 26 when many drivers were on their way to work.
Fire services are on the scene and police are diverting traffic, with many advised to take the back road (Bridesmill Road) from Lochwinnoch to Howwood and rejoin the A737 there.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "At around 7.55am police were called out to a road traffic crash involving two cars on the A737 heading towards Lochwinnoch.
"Emergency services are currently in attendance."
