THE Erskine Bridge is set to be closed to all vehicles tomorrow morning as Renfrewshire braces itself for gusts of up to 70mph.
It is likely the bridge will shut for periods between 8am and 1pm as Storm Caroline descends upon the country overnight.
Winds will begin to strengthen tonight into tomorrow morning and a yellow warning of wind has been issued for most of Scotland.
Gusts of around 90mph are expected in some places as the storm tracks from west to east during the day but 50 to 60mph is the more likely speed across the central belt.
Residents are being warned that flying debris is likely and could lead to injuries or danger to life.
Power cuts are also expected and coastal routes are likely to be affected by large waves.
