DRINKERS were flocking to Houston back in 2004 to try a new red ale that was designed to get the heart racing.
Horny Wee Devil had been produced by the Houston Brewing Company ahead of Valentine’s Day, with supplies selling out within a week of going on sale.
At the time, sales manager Carol Anne Docherty said: “I am on a one-woman crusade to make the west of Scotland male more passionate.
“This ale is made with passion and with a secret ingredient.
“If men drink this on Valentine’s Day, women might be in for a pleasant surprise – but I am not making any promises.”
