BISHOPTON has been one of the two worst hit areas in the UK for snow according to the Met Office.
Snow in the village was as deep as 43cm overnight, almost 20cm deeper than most of the UK.
Heavy snowfall and high winds brought Renfrewshire to a standstill yesterday and drivers have been warned not to travel today unless absolutely necessary.
A yellow weather warning for snow will remain in place all day once the amber warning expires at 10am.
