THEATRE buffs will be bearing all this month as a hit musical takes centre stage in Johnstone.

Members of the Johnstone Phoenix Theatre Group are all set to wow audiences as they perform The Full Monty.

Based on the 1997 British film of the same name, the show can be seen at Johnstone Town Hall from Wednesday, April 25, until Saturday, April 28.

It tells the story of a group of skilled workers who, after being laid-off, turn to stripping to make ends meet.

A spokesperson for Johnstone Phoenix said: “As they bumble their way through wonky auditions and hilarious bump-and-grind lessons, the men shed their shirts and pants – along with their fears and anxieties built up over months of depressing unemployment.”

The cast includes Paul McWilliams as Jerry, Barry Orr as Dave, Daniel McDonald as Malcolm, Ian McClelland as Horse, Terence McGee as Ethan, Alex Long as Harold and Jillian McCall as Vicki.

Curtain rises at 7.30pm each night and there will also be a Saturday matinee at 2pm.

The show is suitable for those over the age of 14.

Tickets cost £14 for adults and £11 for concessions. To book, call 0774 882 7727 or email jptg.tickets@gmail.com.
