Something exciting is happening here at The Gazette - we're getting a makeover.

Your local paper, which is published every Wednesday, will still contain all the latest news, sport and pictures from Renfrewshire but with an exciting new-look format.

Launching next week, the bold and bright design will still include all your favourite sections but brought to you in a more vibrant and colourful style.

Readers can still enjoy regular columns from MPs, MSPs and community leaders, our noticeboard section that is packed with all the information you need to plan the week ahead and our nostalgic archive section which takes you on a trip down memory lane.

Whether you live in Johnstone, Elderslie, Renfrew, Linwood, Erskine, Kilbarchan, Howwood, Lochwinnoch, Bridge of Weir, Houston, Bishopton, Kilmacolm or Paisley, we'll bring you all of the local news that matters.

Steph Brawn, senior reporter for The Gazette, said: “I am really looking forward to The Gazette having a fresh new look. The paper is going to look more colourful and modern and I am confident our readers will really like it.

“Renfrewshire is a vibrant place with great people and we want the paper to reflect this."

Make sure you pick up your first copy of the new-look Gazette on Wednesday, May 9, and please do let us know your thoughts by emailing editorial@the-gazette.co.uk, messaging us on Facebook or finding us on Twitter @thegazettepaper.
