IT was a walk down memory lane for members of a church as they celebrated their building’s 50th anniversary.

Inchinnan Parish Church was rebuilt in 1968 after it was moved from its original spot, and the landmark was toasted in style with a concert and quiz night last week.

Then, on Saturday, members were invited to relive their memories from the past as weddings, baptisms, and ministers from the church’s history were celebrated.

This included Iain and Evelyn Mackail, who married there 50 years ago and then welcomed the birth of triplets the following

year.

Marie Craig, part of the organising committee, thanked everyone for their support during the last week.

She said: “We want to say a big thank you to M&Co, which offered us the mannequins to use

on the day – they really added to the occasion and we couldn’t have done it without them.

“How thoughtful it was of everyone to turn up and support us, it was amazing.

“The day was really special and very family- orientated. Everybody contributed and we are truly thankful for that.”
