POLICE have recovered drugs following raids on homes in Johnstone and Paisley.
The drugs, believed to be heroin and cocaine, were seized as part of "an extensive, intelligence-led" operation.
Officers armed with warrants searched three houses in Johnstone and the Gallowhill and Foxbar areas of Paisley at around 11am yesterday.
The estimated street value of the drugs recovered is £1,200.
A four-figure sum of cash was also seized.
Four people – two men, aged 33 and 25, and two women, aged 48 and 19 – have been arrested and charged in connection with alleged drugs offences.
They are expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
Police have said a fifth suspect – a 25-year-old man – will be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal regarding alleged drugs offences.
Detective Constable Chris Nedley, of Renfrewshire Division's Serious and Organised Crime Team, told The Gazette: "We are committed to tackling those involved in the supply of illicit drugs and organised crime within our communities.
"I would like to thank those members of the community who have assisted with this investigation. Without your help, our team could not have achieved this."
