IT’S time to see out the summer as Johnstone Gala Day hits Thomas Shanks Park.

From 12.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday, visitors can prepare to be entertained with a live music stage, featuring a performance from up-and-coming singer/songwriter Zoe Tait, plus a dog show, football tournament, kids rides and a bouncy castle.

There will also be fitness classes, a tea tent, hot food and market stalls.

And just in case the heavens open, the Gala Day committee has hired three large marquees to house the market and other events so that, rain or shine, visitors can expect a great day out.

Another new addition to the event will be a display and stall from the Renfrewshire Model Railway Club, which is sure to have train fanatics making tracks for Johnstone.

The event is being billed as the biggest and best Johnstone Gala Day yet and a real highlight of the town’s social calendar.
