MEMBERS of the Elderslie Scouts group proved they are always prepared during a weekend of activities, challenges and friendship.
Across several days, around 30 Scouts, Explorers, Cubs and Beavers got to grips with life in the great outdoors as part of the group’s annual summer camp at Finlaystone Country Estate, Port Glasgow.
As well as setting up camp and pitching their own tents, the youngsters took part in several challenges which put their survival skills to the test, including outdoor cooking and pioneering.
Group Scout Leader Sheila Davies said: “It was a great weekend and we’ve had terrific feedback. We hope to repeat it many more times but perhaps in warmer weather.”
