AN elderly woman has died after being hit by a car while crossing a road in Linwood.
Elizabeth Dunnion, 85, was crossing Bridge of Weir Road, near to Hart Street, on Saturday at around 5.10pm when she was hit by a black Mazda 3.
She was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley with a serious head injury and eventually died yesterday.
Relatives have been made aware and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The 27-year-old male driver of the car was uninjured.
Sergeant Mark McGowan at the Road Policing Complex in Govan is appealing for witnesses and can be contacted via 101.
