Flooding could take place in areas across Renfrewshire this week as torrential rain batters the west coast of Scotland.
A yellow weather warning which states that heavy rain will affect much of western Scotland, especially later Monday and throughout Tuesday, has been issued by the Met Office.
This could result in homes and businesses flooding and damage to buildings as well a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.

Locals should also prepare for delays and cancellations to trains and bus services as well as disruption on the roads.
The warning will be in place until midnight tomorrow where 40-60 mm of rain is expected to fall across the area.

On top of the downpours, strong south-westerly winds are also expected to sweep in bringing another yellow warning for wind on Friday between 5am and 9pm.

This warns of possible danger to life from flying debris and disruptions across road, rail, air and ferry services.
