A MAN has been arrested after tablets and computers were snatched from a nursery in Paisley.

Thieves targeted Glencoats Nursery on August 13, stealing a number of electronic gadgets and cash. The yobs also caused extensive damage to the building.

A police investigation revealed forensic evidence which has now led to the identification of a 30-year-old man, who was arrested last week. He was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday.

Inspector Tracy Harkins said: “This crime was particularly nasty due to the effects it had on a small nursery. I am delighted that, through the dedicated work of local and specialist officers, the suspect male was identified.”
