THINGS were getting messy at Inchinnan Parish Church on Saturday as people of all ages were welcomed for worship with a difference.
Meeting on the first Saturday of every month, Messy Church takes the form of games, activities and a story, all with a Bible-based theme.
This month’s theme was Creation, presented in a simple way that younger children could understand, leading up to Noah and the Ark.
Kids helped to build an Ark and then filled it with soft toys they had brought with them.
There was colouring-in of rainbows, rainbow-decorated biscuits and other activities, with the day finishing with a shared family meal.
Tom McConnell, one of the event’s organisers, said he was delighted to see families coming together to enjoy themselves.
He added: “We have been running Messy Church for about four or five years now and this has been a very successful venture to date.”
Messy Church next meets between 4pm and 6pm on Saturday, November 3, and all are welcome to attend.
