THE Spree was in full swing in Lochwinnoch as the Lochbarr Leisure Centre welcomed a host of talented acts.

Held every year across Renfrewshire, the Spree is one of the biggest entertainment festivals in Scotland.

While Paisley is the epicentre of the event, the wider Renfrewshire area is also treated to an array of comedy and musical acts.

And on Saturday, it was Lochwinnoch’s chance to shine.

Talented Johnstone teenager Zoe Tait was the headline act of a full day of free entertainment at the venue.

Kicking off with a samba drumming workshop, guests were also treated to performances by the likes of Ariel Sun, Stray Dug and Farrowhawk.

The event was hosted by Crawford Smith, from Howlin’ Radio, and Gerry McDermott.

And no-one went hungry, with a burger and bratwurst stall proving popular.

As an added bonus, kind-hearted guests raised over £250 for a local toddlers group.

Event host Crawford said: “It was a great day.”
