A MAN is to stand trial charged with murdering a dad in a Renfrew street.
Jamie Anderson, 36, is accused of attacking Paul Mathieson on January 14 this year.
The allegation includes claims that Anderson punched, kicked and stamped on Mr Mathieson's head and neck.
It is said that Mr Mathieson, 37, was left so severely injured that he died in hospital six days later.
Anderson submitted a not guilty plea during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow today.
Lord Burns set a trial date for next March.
