FUNDRAISERS are being encouraged to have their cake and eat it...while giving a boost to a worthy cause at the same time.

The Scottish SPCA is inviting people to host their very own Tartan Tea Party to help raise funds for abused, abandoned and injured animals.

All you have to do to support the fundraising drive is bring some friends, family or work colleagues together on Friday, November 30, and ask for a donation in return for some tasty treats and a cuppa.

Superintendent Sharon Comrie, of the Scottish SPCA, said: “We can’t wait for our first Tartan Tea Party. It’s a fantastic way to get friends together and even meet new people, all while raising vital funds for animals.

“We receive no government funding, which means we rely on donations, and tea parties are a fantastic way to raise funds.

“You don’t have to be a professional baker to get involved.”
